It was in 1999 that the idea of ??the creation of a football training center germinated in the spirit of Mr. Jacques ANOUMA, then Financial Manager of AIR France.

This realization was a personal challenge after the elections lost at the head of the IFF.

Thus, assisted by "brothers" whom he convinced, the project is launched.

While a site that meets the ambitions of the initiator is found in Djèkanou, the recruitment of young talents starts at the INJS of Marcory, under the direction of competent technicians.

The talents selected repeat their ranges at the Academy of Sciences and Techniques of the Yopougon Sea.

It is there that they will do most of their training before integrating, the number of 35, the Academy in Djèkanou, finally ready to receive its first residents under the name AS PYTHAGORE.

The association is officially created On June 27, 2005, with colors, white, orange and green. At its creation the Academy regrouped two entities: namely;

- A.S PYTHAGORE (grouping young people aged 16 to 17)
- Amadou Diallo Football Academy (grouping young people aged 14 to 15).

Steps have been taken with the Ivorian Federation of Football for the commitment of the academy in the official competitions from the year 2006.

But administrative confusion leads the Board of Directors to unify the two entities under the name known today: ACADEMY OF FOOTBALL AMADOU DIALLO (AFAD), in tribute to the late Amadou DIALLO, a friend of the founder, too Soon disappeared.

Since 2006, AFAD regularly participates in competitions organized by the FIF.
This is how the AFAD project started ...

The AFAD participates in the different competitions of the FIF and fills its arms in the lower divisions. In 2010, she entered for the first time in her history at the first division national championship: Ligue 1.

AFAD's head office is located in Abidjan-Plateau, on the 14th floor of the Belle-Rive building, Lamblin Avenue.
