Morocco is celebrating the 24th anniversary of the accession of His Majesty King Mohammed VI to the throne of His glorious ancestors, with a host of sporting achievements, mainly in the field of football, the fruit of colossal efforts to develop sports infrastructures and promote the human element through the training of top-level sportsmen and women.
World football's governing body noted that "HM King Mohammed VI has launched several development projects in different fields, including the Mohammed VI Football Academy, which aims to discover talent in different regions of Morocco, develop it and facilitate its transfer to European clubs". The glittering success of Moroccan football is by no means the result of chance, but the culmination of long-term work and colossal efforts made by those responsible for sports in the Kingdom, with a view to developing sports infrastructures. This success is also justified by the principles of good governance that have been put in place to ensure that Moroccan football remains competitive, in perfect harmony with the Sovereign's far-sighted vision in this area.

Thanks to the Sovereign's far-sighted vision, the Mohammed VI Football Academy has become a benchmark in terms of sports training and talent development. Inaugurated by His Majesty King Mohammed VI in 2010 in Sala Al Jadida, the Mohammed VI Football Academy is a pioneering Royal initiative aimed at developing national football at all levels and consolidating its influence at continental and international level.
This structuring project, which is already bearing fruit, bears witness to the high regard in which the Sovereign constantly places Moroccan sportsmen and women. It also reflects HM the King's constant concern to promote sport in general and football in particular, through the provision of adequate infrastructure and high-level training. Based on the roles assigned to it and the objectives it aims to achieve, the Mohammed VI Football Academy, which has succeeded in combining sport and studies to perfection, has been able to train high-calibre players who today form the backbone of the national team, semi-finalists in the last World Cup in Qatar-2022.
As well as being a benchmark in terms of training players and nurturing young talent, the Academy aims to be the key to the success of the national teams at continental and international level, and the cause of the emergence of several Moroccan players in Europe.
