The Mohammed VI Football Academy is a breeding ground for talent that is admired both within and outside Africa. This dazzling success is no accident. Indeed, the outstanding performance of Walid Regragui's men at the Qatari World Cup is the fruit of many years of training, which have enabled some great players to shine, such as Sevilla striker Youssef En-Nesyri, West Ham (England) player Nayef Aguerd, Olympique de Marseille player Azzeddine Ounahi and Wydad Casablanca player Ahmed Reda Tagnaouti.

The Academy also made its mark at the last African Cup of Nations for the under-17s, held in Algeria, where no fewer than 9 players from the ranks of this sports infrastructure out of a list of 26 were crowned silver medallists in the final against Senegal (1-2).

The prowess of the Academy's players did not stop there, as the U23 national team, crowned African champions after its victory over Egypt in the final, included 3 players trained at the Academy, namely Oussama Targhaline, Akram Nakkach and Alaa Belaarouch. At the same time, the U23 national team booked its ticket for the next Olympic Games, scheduled for Paris in 2024.

Thanks to these results, Moroccan national football continues to shine on the African and international stages, across all age categories, crowned by highly talented players who will, of course, pass the baton from generation to generation.

In a statement to MAP, national coach Abderrazzak Chlih said that the Mohammed VI Football Academy is the fruit of the genius of HM King Mohammed VI, who has never ceased to attach particular importance to sport in general, and football in particular.
The former coach of Moroccan and foreign clubs stressed that the creation of the Academy, which aims to train top-level players, is part of the Sovereign's far-sighted vision to establish a model sports facility that is a pioneer in the training of tomorrow's champions.

According to him, this leading sports facility makes use of the most modern scientific and educational theories in the field of training and education, in addition to the logistical tools and ideal conditions that enable players and coaches to make the most of the services it provides.
